PROJECTS

LIMB Lab (Ongoing)

Deans Reseach Award, Volunteer App Development

In the LIMB Lab I volunteer doing app development, in this project I am recreating a MATLAB app in python so that it can further be used for graduate level research. In addition to volunteering, I am currently doing the Deans Research Award and am researching how to isolate mechanical vibrations in a piece of lab equiptment.

Alberta Recycling Management Authority Student Innovation Challenge (2026)

Second Place

In the ARMA student innovation challenge, I collaborated with a group of 6 other engineering, business and masters students to develop a method to recycle used oil filters and turn them into a viable product. My team and I were able to create a oil drip mat with commercial levels of absorption that was made out of 100% recycles materials. Along with the development of recycling processes and product development, this project also required the development of a businness plan and culminated in a final presentation. My team and I achieved second place in this competition.

Engg 160 AA Lifter Design Competition (2026)

First Place

For Engg 160 we were tasked with designing a lifter that operated using AA batteries. For this challenge we were allowed to use a max of 4 AA batteries, my group and I designed a ramp style lifter that operated with just 2 AA batteries and was able to work repeatedly with zero failures when put through testing. For this challenge I was responsible for the circuitry as well as the 3D modelling and printing of the spools that connected our motor to the rope used to lift the mass up the ramp. We achieved First place in this competition.

Quadrupedal Robot

Quadrupedal Robot (2025)

Personal Project

This robot was a personal project designed and programmed by me. This robot was designed and constructed using 3D printed materials. The legs are moved by servo motors which are controlled by an ESP32. Using the wifi module of the ESP32 I was able to connect the robot to an application I programmed on my phone which allowed me to control the robot wirelessly using a smartphone.
